Miss World 1990, the 40th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 8 November 1990 at the London Palladium in London, UK. The winner was Gina Tolleson, representing the United States. She was crowned by Miss World 1989, Aneta Beata Kreglicka of Poland.

  • The preliminary swimsuit competition was held in Norway.
  • Gina Tolleson (United States) married celebrity star Alan Thicke, later divorced. She co-hosted Miss World 1991 with Peter Marshall.
  • Brenda Marte (Dominican Republic) came from the Dominican community in Queens, New York City, United States.
  • Karina Brown (Australia) is currently a hostess in various local television programs.
  • Ivona Brnelić (Yugoslavia) has lived and worked in London with some prominent celebrities like Tina Turner and Cher.
