Flintshire County Council
Flintshire County Council is the unitary local authority for the present-day Welsh administrative county of Flintshire (not to be confused with the historic Flintshire), one of the administrative subdivisions of Wales.
Elections take place every four years. The last election was on 3 May 2012.

Political makeup
As of 2012, the council is governed by a coalition between Labour and a group of some of the Independents. Labour is the largest political group within the council, followed by the Independents, the Liberal Democrats, and the New Independents.
