The 1999–2000 season was the 11th season of the Orlando Magic in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Head coach Chuck Daly was replaced by Doc Rivers prior to the season. The Magic went through several transactions before the season, trading Anfernee Hardaway to the Phoenix Suns, Nick Anderson to the Sacramento Kings, while Horace Grant to the Seattle Supersonics for rookie Corey Maggette, and finally before the start of the season, Isaac Austin was traded to the Washington Wizards for Ben Wallace.

The Magic went through more transactions midway through the season, trading Tariq Abdul-Wahad and Chris Gatling to the Denver Nuggets for Ron Mercer, Chauncey Billups (who was injured and never played for the Magic), and Johnny Taylor. However, the Magic missed the playoffs with a 41-41 record, finishing ninth in the Eastern Conference. Darrell Armstrong led them in scoring with 16.2 points per game. Despite missing the playoffs, Rivers was named Coach of the Year. Following the season, Wallace and Chucky Atkins were traded to the Detroit Pistons.
