Uzgen or Özgön (Kyrgyz: Өзгөн району) is a raion (district) of Osh Region in south-western Kyrgyzstan. The capital lies at Uzgen.:[2]
Demographics
As of 2009, Uzgen District included 1 town, and 99 villages. Its population, according to the Population and Housing Census of 2009, was 201,922. Of them, 44,315 people live in urban areas, and 157,607 in rural ones.
