USS Indianapolis (LCS-17) will be a Freedom-class littoral combat ship of the United States Navy.[1] It will be the fourth ship in naval service named after Indianapolis, Indiana.[4]
Marinette Marine was awarded the contract to build the ship on March 10, 2014 [1] and it is under construction at Marinette, Wisconsin.[5][6]
