Trees is an American live music venue opened in 1990 in the Deep Ellum district of downtown Dallas, Texas. In addition to hosting international touring musical ensembles such as Nirvana,[3] The Flaming Lips,[4] Sevendust,[5] Flyleaf,[6] Scar the Martyr[7] and Device,[8] the venue has received numerous accolades from Dallas Observer.[9]
History
After opening in May 1990,[10][11] the club closed in May 2005. It was reopened on August 14, 2009[12] by Clint Barlow, former drummer for Vanilla Ice[1] and spouse Whitney Barlow.[2][11][13]
The Bomb Factory

After first closing in 2000,[14] on March 26, 2015, Barlow reopened The Bomb Factory, a new music venue capable of holding 4300 people.[15][16][17] Erykah Badu performed at the venue on opening day.[18][19][20][21][22][23][24]
