Southern State Community College
Southern State Community College (known as SSCC) is a community college centrally based in Hillsboro, Ohio. The college is divided into four campuses located in Mount Orab ("Brown County campus"), Washington Court House ("Fayette campus"), Hillsboro ("Central campus"), and Wilmington ("North campus"). Southern State Community College was founded in February 1975 as Southern State General and Technical College. The name of the school was changed only a few years later in 1977 to the name it is known by now.[1]
Southern State was one of the first community colleges in Ohio to develop an accredited transfer program.
