Sleeping Bag Liners are lightweight cloth sacks usually fitted inside sleeping bags to provide extra comfort, hygiene and protection.[1][2]
Bag Liners are issued as basic kit by various militaries including the US and British armed forces.[3]
Fabrics
Liners are made of Silk, Cotton and Poly/cotton amongst others.
Silk liners are light, soft and strong and retain much thermal insulation even when wet.
Cotton is heavier and bulkier than silk, and becomes far less insulative when wetted.
Synthetic [mix] liners can be light, compact and strong, whilst also being easy to care for.
