Priya Anjali Rai, (born December 25, 1977), also known as Priya Rai, is an American pornographic actress.[1][3]

Early life

Rai was born in New Delhi and was adopted by an American couple at age 2.[2] She was raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota and attended Arizona State University, where she studied marketing.[4]

Career

Rai worked as a fashion and swimwear model prior to working in the adult industry.[5] Rai was a stripper for 12 years prior to appearing in pornographic films.[5] She entered the adult film industry in 2007[1] at the age of 29.[6]

In June 2013, she announced her retirement from adult films to focus on her mainstream career and personal life.[3] Rai played the lead role of "Isis" in the mainstream horror film Isis Rising: Curse Of The Lady Mummy.[7]

Advocacy

She has expressed her opposition towards Measure B, a law requiring pornographic actors to wear condoms during all sex scenes filmed in Los Angeles, California.[8]

Personal life

Rai resides in Phoenix, Arizona.[4]

In June 2013, Rai announced that she was engaged to "a very successful businessman" who does not work in the adult industry.[3]
