Panaxatriol is an organic coumpound characterizing a group of ginsenosides.[1] It is a dammarane-type tetracyclic triterpene sapogenin found in ginseng (Panax ginseng) and in notoginseng (Panax pseudoginseng). It is formed by the dehydration of protopanaxatriol.
