Series summary

Mexico's Next Top Model, Cycle 5 is a reality show which was hosted by model and celebrity Jaydy Michel, and aimed to find the next top Mexican fashion model. The series is based on the reality TV series America's Next Top Model, which is hosted by Tyra Banks. The season began to air on television on September 29, 2014.[2][3][4][5]

The prizes for this season include a cash prize of 300,000 pesos, 125,000 worth of Tommy Hilfiger clothing along with an appearance for a presentation in New York Fashion Week for Tommy Hilfiger, representation with Mexican modeling acency Queta Rojas, a 50,000 contract with Mary Kay cosmetics, a brand new Volkswagen Tiguan, and a six-page spread in Glamour magazine Mexico.

  • In episode 1, the top fifteen selected were still semi-finalists as part of the casting process. The top thirteen finalists were revealed at panel during a second and final call-out that took place after filming the opening sequence.
  • In episode 2, Jaydy revealed that judge Antonio Gonzalez de Cosio would be granted the opportunity to save one contestant from elimination at any point in the competition.
  • In episode 9, Kristen quit the competition when her name was called at panel. Nebai was allowed to stay due to her decision to quit.
  • In episode 10, Roxana was originally eliminated when she landed in the bottom two with Nebai. Antonio decided to save her from being eliminated.
  • In episode 11, Nebai and Roxana landed in the bottom two. Both of them were eliminated.
  • In episode 12, There was no call-out. Miranda was eliminated immediately after the final three deliberation, while Mariana and Vanessa advanced to the final runway show. The winner was decided during a final deliberation after the show had concluded.
