Mawkanin[1] is a large village in Ye Township in Mawlamyine District in the Mon State of southern Myanmar. Mawkanin is on the coastal plain and on the coastal highway (Route 8), about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) east of the town of Lamaing.[2]
