Golden Globes
The original song from the soundtrack to Purple Rain, "When Doves Cry", was nominated for a Golden Globe Award. In 2007 he won a the Golden Globe for Best Original Song for "The Song of the Heart" from George Miller’s Happy Feet.[4]
