Leo A. Goodman is a statistician known particularly for developing statistical methods for the social sciences, including statistical methods for analyzing data from statistical surveys and statistical methods for analyzing categorical data.
Goodman worked at the University of Chicago until 1986. Since 1986, he has been Class of 1938 Professor in the Sociology Department and the Statistics Department at the University of California, Berkeley.[1]
