Langrisser Schwarz is an upcoming free-to-play massively multiplayer online role-playing game based on the Langrisser series, developed by Gamania. It was first revealed at the Tokyo Game Show in 2010.[1] The game will feature 3 playable factions, which are currently known as Light, Dark and Empire.[2]
Development
Langrisser Schwarz was rumored to be in development and slated for a Japanese release based on the trailer shown in the 2010 Tokyo Game Show.[1] Langrisser Schwarz was officially revealed to have an international release as a free-to-play game along with more details about the game in the 2011 Gamania Game Show on September 8 and 9.[3] Alpha testing of the game began on July 8, 2012 exclusively in China.[4] Noriyuki Iwadare was announced as the composer of Langrisser Schwarz music.[5] Since December 2012, no information about the game was released. As a result, the game is currently considered vaporware.
