Background
Lady Gaga and the Muppets' Holiday Spectacular is the second of Lady Gaga's Thanksgiving television specials, following A Very Gaga Thanksgiving, which aired on ABC in 2011. Gaga and The Muppets have collaborated in the past. In 2009, Kermit the Frog was her date to the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.[1] Gaga also featured Jim Henson's Creature Shop pieces in The Monster Ball Tour.[2]
Synopsis
The 90-minute special aired on ABC on November 28, 2013. Guest stars included Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Elton John and RuPaul, with an appearance by Kristen Bell.[3] Gaga performed a mixture of songs from her third studio album Artpop and holiday classics.[4]

The special brought in 3.6 million viewers and a 0.9 rating among the 18-49 adult demographic, much lower numbers than Lady Gaga's holiday special the previous year.[5]
