Kintore railway station was a railway station in Kintore, Aberdeenshire. It served as a junction between the main line, and an abandoned branch to Alford. It was closed in 1964 as part of the Beeching Cuts. In September 2010, the Scottish Parliament spoke about reopening the station.[citation needed] This could cost nearly £19 million.[citation needed]. Plans to reopen the station were announced in December 2012.[2]
