KYND (1520 AM) is a brokered time radio station in the Houston, Texas metropolitan area. KYND is owned by Pro Broadcasting, Inc. The station is leased and currently airs a temporary music format, while new programming is being lined up. KYND formerly broadcast the English language version of China Radio International programming, but that has been ceased as of December 2015.
KYND operates on the same frequency with legacy "clear channel" station KOKC-AM in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; which limits KYND to broadcast only during daytime hours, which is how AM stations were licensed prior to December 1987.[1]
