Johnny Martino (born May 5, 1937) is an actor[1] who was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He is most renowned for his portrayal of foot-soldier Paulie Gatto in the iconic American crime film, The Godfather.[2]
Martino was born in the United States with parents from Sicily.[citation needed]
Martino began his acting career in a play titled, Hat Full of Rain.[citation needed] He then when on to act in a single episode of the 1960s CBS television show, The Wild Wild West.[3] Martino is mostly known for portraying Paulie Gatto in The Godfather.[4] Afterwards, he landed minor roles in other films.
