Howard Dean Koplitz (May 4, 1938 – January 2, 2012) was a pitcher in Major League Baseball pitcher. He played all or part of five seasons in the majors, between 1961 and 1966, for the Detroit Tigers and Washington Senators.
Koplitz went 9–7 with a 4.21 Earned run average over his career. In his first game in the Major Leagues, the first player he faced was future Hall of Famer Carl Yastrzemski, whom he struck out.[1]
