Heaton Chapel railway station serves the Heaton Chapel and Heaton Moor districts of Stockport, in Greater Manchester.
The station is 4½ miles (7 km) south of Manchester Piccadilly towards Stockport
The station was renamed from Heaton Chapel & Heaton Moor to Heaton Chapel on 6 May 1974.[1]
The station is covered by a Ditra Systems Public Address System (PA), voiced by Phil Sayer.
Service
Four trains per hour go towards Manchester Piccadilly northbound. These services come from Crewe, Chester, Stoke-on-Trent and Alderley Edge (hourly from each).
There are also four trains each hour from Piccadilly to one of Alderley Edge, Buxton, Crewe or Hazel Grove. There are additional Crewe & Buxton services in the evening peak, plus two services to Chinley via Hazel Grove.
During the evening and on Sundays, there are two trains per hour to Manchester and hourly trains to Crewe (some hours Alderley Edge on Sunday) and Buxton.
