Geetha Madhuri Sonti (born 24 August 1989)[1] is an award winning Indian playback singer and dubbing artist who works primarily in tollywood.[2] She became famous with the song "ninne ninne" from the movie nachavule for which she won Nandi Award as the best female playback singer. She also won a filmfare award for "magaallu", a song from golimaar movie as the best female playback singer. She has participated in aMAA TV show called "Super Singer".
Early life
Geetha was born on 24 August 1989 to Prabhakar and Lakshmi. Her father Prabhakar is an SBH official and Madhuri is their only daughter.[citation needed] They moved from Godavari region to Hyderabad when she was very young. She completed her schooling from Loyola, Vanasthalipuram, Hyderabad.[citation needed] Since childhood, she kept practicing singing. Her parents arranged training in classical and light music, initially under Smt. Kocharlakota Padmavati Garu,[citation needed] then under Ramachari Garu in little musicians academy.[citation needed] She was the semi finalist in SYE singers challenge(Musical show) which was conducted by the ETV Telugu channel.[1]
Geetha made her debut as playback singer with Kulasekhar's film Premalekha Rasa.[3]
Personal life
Geetha married actor Ananda Krishna Nandu on 9 February 2014 at Nagole. Nandu, who grew to fame as Ajith in 100% Love (2011 film), shared screen space with Madhuri in a short film 'Adithi'.[4][5]

- Won South Scope Best Female playback singer for Gundello Guitar Ek Niranjan.[10]
- Won SIIMA Award for Best Female Playback Singer for "Melikalu" from Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu (2012)
- Won Gamma Award for Best Female Playback Singer "darlinge" from mirchi(2014)
- Nominated for Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer - Telugu for "Vechani vaisundira" from Gundello Godari(2014)
- Nominated for SIIMA Award for Best Female Playback Singer for "Top lechipoddi" from iddarammailtho(2014)
