Free Fire is an upcoming British crime-drama film directed by Ben Wheatley which he co-wrote with Amy Jump. The film stars Sharlto Copley, Armie Hammer, Brie Larson, Cillian Murphy, Jack Reynor, Michael Smiley, Sam Riley and Noah Taylor.

Filming
Principal photography on the film began on June 8, 2015.[1][2]
Release
In July 2014, it was announced that StudioCanal, and Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions had acquired distribution rights to the film in United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, Scandinavia, and Spain, respectively.[3] In November 2015, it was announced that Alchemy had acquired United States distribution rights to the film.[4] However, on March 10, 2016, in the wake of rumors of Alchemy's financial troubles, distribution of the film was acquired by A24.[5]
