Summary

The Japanese anthem <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kimi_ga_Yo" class="extiw" title="en:Kimi ga Yo">Kimi ga Yo</a>, using <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_William_Fenton" class="extiw" title="en:John William Fenton">John William Fenton</a>'s score from 1870. The score has been republished at <a rel="nofollow" class="external free" href="http://www.ne.jp/asahi/jurassic/page/talk/kimigayo.htm">http://www.ne.jp/asahi/jurassic/page/talk/kimigayo.htm</a> and on the King Record CD "Kimi Ga Yo no Subete." The MIDI file was generated by me. Fenton died in 1890, so the score is public domain in the United States, European Union, and presumably worldwide.
