Donald James Warren (born May 5, 1956) is a former American football tight end, who spent his entire 14-year career playing for the Washington Redskins of the National Football League (NFL).

Early life
Warren was born in Bellingham, Washington and raised in California. He attended and played high school football at Royal Oak High School in Covina, California.
College career
Warren attended and played college football first at Mt. San Antonio College, and later transferred to San Diego State University. He played in the East–West Shrine Game after the 1978 season.
Professional career
While with the Redskins, Warren was a member of three Super Bowl-winning teams, following the 1982, 1987, and 1991 seasons; additionally he was a member of the team that went to and did not win the Super Bowl following the 1983 season, a team which offensively set the record for number of points scored in one season, a record which remained for 15 years. Known as an excellent blocker, Warren was an original member of the famed "Hogs" group of Redskins players, that centered on the offensive line, the term having been coined in 1982 by the Offensive Line Coach, Joe Bugel.
After football
After retiring from football, Warren spent several years as baseball and football coach at Centreville High School in Centreville, Virginia where his three boys went. On May 23, 2005, he rejoined the Redskins as a scout and was released by them three days before his birthday, May 2, 2010. A few months later he became a scout for the Carolina Panthers.
Personal life
Warren has three children, all boys, Blake, Brett, and Beau Warren. All three kids were scholarship football players for Virginia Tech. Blake and Brett played linebacker for the Hokies and Beau was a Center. Brett had a short career with the Carolina Panthers after signing as a reserve/future contract in March 2010 and was released in August 2010. Beau signed in 2011 as an undrafted free agent with the St. Louis Rams.
