Don't Wait Animate, formally and commonly known as "DWA", are a five piece experimental band from South East London, England formed in 2008. Their music fuses dub, art rock, future garage, dancehall, progressive rock, trip hop and Afro beat. With anxious lyricism & often unexpected orchestral explosions, they have gained a cult following through their innovative and energetic live shows.[1]

Describing themselves as a collective rather than a band, they often borrow from dub and Trip hop.[1] They take influence from artists such as Massive Attack, Hans Zimmer and Unkle as well as dubstep merchants Burial & 2562.[2]

Over time the five-piece has already headlined many notable and renowned London venues such as Proud, 93 Feet East and Barfly. They later gained attention with remixes of The xx, Arctic Monkeys and Delphic tracks and have been endorsed by the likes of CMU, Dazed Digital. Don't Wait Animate also released their debut single "6174" in May 2010 and received good reviews from The Guardian and the Sunday Times and they were also main support on the main stage at Little London Fields Festival as well as playing FireFly Festival's main stage.
