Lua error in Module:Infobox at line 235: malformed pattern (missing ']'). Dear Mr. Prohack is a 1949 British comedy film directed by Thornton Freeland. It is a modern-day version of Arnold Bennett's novel "Mr Prohack", starring Cecil Parker, Glynis Johns and Dirk Bogarde.[1]

Plot

A civil servant who is extremely frugal with the government's money, suddenly inherits a large fortune and becomes a spendthrift.
