Academic Programme

Collège du Léman is committed not only to excellence in education but also to stimulating enthusiasm for lifelong learning and intellectual growth.

We open our doors to students who may benefit from our multicultural learning environment. We nurture a sense of social responsibility and respect for others so that our students are well-prepared to become respected world citizens.

In this spirit, we endeavor to add value to our teaching through its diversity. The knowledge students gain must be applicable across cultures and be supported by qualifications recognised worldwide.

Individual Development Toward a Global Future

We value each student’s individuality as well as his or her integration into society. Our programme of studies prepares our students for the demands of the 21st century.

Our academic programme integrates both bilingualism and multilingualism and leads to:

Boarding

Our top priorities at Collège du Léman are that your children are successful, happy, healthy and well cared for - allowing them to achieve their full potential academically, socially and physically. When you join Collège du Léman, you join a community, made up of families we call Houses.

Students arrive and are placed in one of our Boarding Houses, where they will be in the care of a House Parent, overseen by the Director of Boarding, assisted by tutors. The House team monitor all aspects of a student’s progress throughout their career and will liaise with you closely during this time. Boarders benefit from supervised homework time as well as a plethora of clubs and activities.

Campus

Collège du Léman is an 8 hectares landscaped campus, nestled between the Jura Mountains and Lac Léman on the outskirts of Geneva. It offers attractive residential facilities and disposes of recreational areas which provide for both leisure and sport activity when the need arises.

Accreditations

Collège du Léman is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC)[4] and the Council of International Schools (CIS).[5] In addition, it is an authorised IB World School and holds the Swiss Quality School Certificate (QSC).

These accreditations not only act as labels of quality, which are recognised worldwide, but are also testament to CdL’s will to embrace ongoing school improvement. The stringent standards of these accrediting bodies demand a high level of reflection and drive the school towards best practice in all aspects of its work. This leads to an international education of the highest quality, full recognition of our students’ wide ranging qualifications and their acceptance into many top universities worldwide.
