From 2005 to 2012 the Science Fiction Hall of Fame inducted people for their contributions to science fiction Literature; Art; and Film, Television and Media. As the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame from 1996 to 2004, it inducted writers and editors of fantasy and science fiction. The original name and original attention to fantasy as well as science fiction were restored in 2013, not the original focus on literature.
Through 2014 there were 79 people inducted.
