CKLR-FM is a Canadian radio station that operates at 97.3 FM in Courtenay, British Columbia with the on-air branding "97.3 The Eagle". The Eagle also broadcasts on cable at 89.7 and streams live from their website.
The station received approval by the CRTC on April 21, 1998.[1] The first voice heard on the air, October 5, 1998 was Bill Nation with the morning news. Ryan Mennie and Bill Nation are the only two current staff members who were also with the station when it first went to air in 1998.
