Billie Sutton is a Democratic member of the South Dakota Senate, representing the 21st district. Sutton was a rodeo rider at the South Dakota State University with plans to go professional. A 2007 rodeo accident left him paralyzed from the waist down.[1]
He served as Senate Assistant Minority Leader from 2013 to 2015. He was succeeded in this position by Troy Heinert from District 26.
