Students at Bandys have the opportunity to join both school-based clubs and national organizations:

Athletics

Bandys is classified as a 2A school by the North Carolina High School Athletic Association and is a member of the Catawba Valley Athletic Conference. Bandys' primary rival is Maiden High School.

In addition to cheerleading, Bandys competes in baseball, basketball, marching band, cross country, football, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track and field, volleyball, and wrestling, and has won state championships in:

  • Men's Basketball – 1982
  • Women's Basketball – 1977, 1981, 1982, 1987, 1988, 1994
  • Wrestling – 2004, 2005, 2006
