Badi Dooooor Se Aaye Hai[1][2] is an Indian comedy program on SAB TV. The show started on 9 June 2014[3] and telecasts every Monday to Friday.[4] It is about an alien family who lands on earth in search of their lost son.

Plot summary

Badi Dooooor Se Aaye Hai[5] is a story of an extraterrestrial family who come to earth with an aim to find their eldest and lost son, named 2015, whom they have been searching for on many planets.[6][7]

Their spaceship crashes in a jungle as they land on earth. After landing, they are shocked to see human civilization and its form. Later they realize that if they move around in their alien form they will be treated differently or may be taken captive for research and analysis, thus risking their existence. But since they get very strong clues of their lost son to be living on earth, they forcefully take the form of humans and secure their lives. Due to certain circumstances they reach Sunshine colony and become it's residents. They call themselves Ghotalas.They then make friends and adapt into the human civilization, thus carrying their search on for their lost son.

The alien family consists of Vasant, the head of the family, his wife Varsha, brother Sharad and two sons, Hemant and Shishir.

The residents of Sunshine Colony are unique and funny in their own different ways. At first they found it difficult to accept the Ghotalas because they are weird and innocent but slowly they treated them as their own seeing their kind and selfless nature.

There's also a love triangle between Sharad, Anna and Manav. Finally the colony members came to know that the Ghotalas are aliens. Initially they felt cheated but slowly they accepted Ghotalas again and decided to keep it a secret from the whole world. Residents of the sunshine colony are trying to help Ghotala family to search and find their lost son '2015'. Anna accidentally comes to know that Manav is an alien. The alien confesses that Murlidhar Ojha's son Manav Ojha is dead. He also reveals that he came to Earth alongwith 2015. Meanwhile, Ghotala family travels back in time to 7 June 2014, the day when they set foot on Earth, in search of 2015. They find a bag, allegedly 2015's, with photographs of the residents of Sunshine colony. While they recognize majority of the residents, they find 3 photographs of people hitherto unknown to them. However, Ojha & Anna share some interesting information about those individuals. Anna identifies the kid in the photograph as her cousin Jerry Fernandez, who has been missing, along with his family since the last two years. Murlidhar Ojha recognizes the other fellow as he had rented an apartment in the colony & used to work for a club. But he vanished one day, just like that & nobody has any clue about his whereabouts thereafter. They suspect that one of Manav, Murlidhar & Bhairavi is 2015. Their special glasses surprisingly do not detect Manav as an alien. Once it is clear that neither Bhairavi nor Murlidhar is 2015, Varsha's hopes are dashed. On the other hand, Lajo returns & is shocked to see snowfall & sudden rains in Mumbai. Vasant believes the unprecedented & sudden changes in the weather are a result of the nefarious activities of uncle 1313, who is trying to mend a machine which, if repaired, is capable of destroying the Earth. But to repair this machine , he needs Hemant, Vasant & 2015. The Ghotalas are shocked when Vasant receives an SOS phonecall from 2015. Realizing that his son's life is in danger, Vasant assures Varsha that he would do all that it takes to save their son. Bhavna approaches Sweety Singh so as to find out about the missing persons. Bhairavi ends up revealing that 1 of the 3 missing individuals is Vasant & Varsha's son. It appears that Hemant is worst affected by the drastic climatic changes. When he accompanies Manav & Sharad to the club, to enquire about the 'suspected 2015', he is tempted to take a swim. To his horror, the water starts boiling as soon as he jumps into the pool! Thereafter he starts emitting fire from his mouth. Any object that comes into contact with him catches fire. Vasant deploys Sharad to take care of Hemant & gives the latter strict instructions to protect himself & others from the fire.

On the other hand, when Sweety Singh asks Varsha to identify which of the 3 is her son, she is unable to do so. It baffles Sweety singh greatly. Bhavna is successful in diverting him by offering him delicious Gujarati food. Sweety Singh's findings reveal that Jerry Fernandez & his family are safe. However, 1 of the other 2 individuals is dead. bhavna suspects that 2015 might have taken the form of the dead man so that nobody would doubt him or enquire about him.

The Bhatt family is overjoyed when it starts snowing outside! Their joy turns into shock when the snowfall is shortly replaced by acidic rain. Vasant realizes that 1313 is desperately trying to repair the machine. He might have been torturing 2015 for the same but his son must not have revealed that his family is on the Earth, as he didn't want to endanger their lives. Manav informs Vasant that the guy worked in the club was strange, according to the manager, who said that two guys would frequently visit him. While 1 of them was Jacky, the identity of the second guy was not known. Vasant thinks it might have been 212 and strongly suspects that the person working for the club was 2015. Murlidhar informs the Ghotalas about the latest piece of news which says the BAIR agency believes the weather fluctuations are caused by aliens & is on the lookout for them. They've even put the city on red alert. Soon agents X & Q turn up in the colony with a search warrant. Around the same time, Sharad bloats up like a balloon. Anna & Manav somehow manage to distract the agents & save Sharad. While the Ghotalas are dealing with the agents, uncle 1313 is seen with two, hooded aliens & two assistants in a dark chamber. While it is evident that 1 of the aliens is 2015, nothing is known about the other alien. He warns 2015 of dire consequences if he fails to repair the machine.

Manav continues to dissuade all of Anna's attempts to talk about himself, his family & his safety. While the colony members continue to be in the dark about his real identity. They haven't got any leads about the missing guy either. The only one who has got some leads is 1313, who finds Hemant, Vasant & 2015's signatures on the machine. While he understands that 2015 is trying to save someone, he also realizes that he wont be able to repair the machine on his own. The agents are in the colony, the Ghotalas are in a mess & 2015 is in trouble. Let's see who emerges victorious.
