Awl Point
From Infogalactic: the planetary knowledge core
Awl Point (Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found.) is a headland 4 miles (6 km) northeast of Borge Point on the east side of Trinity Island, in the Palmer Archipelago. It was shown on an Argentine government chart of 1952, and was named by the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee in 1960 because the point is low in elevation but very sharply pointed in plan, suggesting an awl.
