Aarau railway station (German: Bahnhof Aarau) serves the municipality of Aarau, capital city of the canton of Aargau, Switzerland. Opened in 1856, it is owned and operated by SBB-CFF-FFS.
The station forms the junction between the Olten–Aarau railway line and Baden–Aarau railway line. Previously, it was also a terminus of the now closed Aarau–Suhr railway line.
On the southern side of the station yard is a separate station for the metre gauge trains of the Wynental- und Suhrentalbahn.

Aarau railway station is situated in the Bahnhofstrasse, at the south eastern edge of the old town.

The following long distance services call at Aarau:
- InterCity and InterRegio trains to Zürich HB – St. Gallen, Zürich HB – Chur, Basel, Bern, Biel/Bienne – Lausanne and Biel/Bienne – Geneva.
- RegioExpress trains to Olten, Brugg - Wettingen and Zürich.

The station is the focal point of the Aargau S-Bahn network, and is served by the following lines of that network:
- S 23 Langenthal – Olten – Aarau – Lenzburg – Brugg – Baden
- S 26 Aarau / Lenzburg – Wohlen – Muri – Rotkreuz
- S 29 (Langenthal – Olten –) Aarau – Wildegg – Brugg – Turgi
Zürich S-Bahn
There is also a Zürich S-Bahn line that originates and terminates at Aargau:
