The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards will be held at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, on September 11, 2024. It will honor the best music videos, artists, and songs released between June 22, 2023, and June 20, 2024.[1][2] The ceremony was originally scheduled to take place on September 10, 2024, but was rescheduled to a day later to avoid conflicts with the presidential debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.
Taylor Swift was the most nominated artist with a total of ten, including eight nominations for her collaboration with Post Malone on the single "Fortnight".[3][4][5] Katy Perry will be honored with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.[6] After 2 years, Nicki Minaj has confirmed she will not be hosting or attending the ceremony, possibly because she is currently embarking on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour.
