The 2016 ASEAN School Games (ASG), officially known as the 8th ASEAN School Games (Thai: กีฬาโรงเรียนอาเซียน ครั้งที่ 8) and commonly known as Chiang Mai 2016 will be hosted by Thailand from July 21-29, 2016. Chang Mai will host the annual event to be participated by student-athletes under the age of eighteen. [1]
The ASEAN Schools Games (ASG) is an annual sporting event which aims to enhance friendship among students around the Southeast Asian region. It also seeks to promote ASEAN solidarity among the youth through school sports and provide opportunities for school athletes to engage in cultural exchange. [2]
