Portland Timbers U-23 is an American soccer team based in Portland, Oregon, United States. Although founded in 2008 as part of the development system for the Portland Timbers USSF D2 organization, beginning in 2011 they are part of the development system for the Major League Soccer franchise of the same name. The team plays in the USL Premier Development League (PDL), the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, in the Northwest Division of the Western Conference.
The team plays most of its home games at Providence Park, the home of the senior Timbers team, where they have played since 2009. The team's colors are green and white.

History
The Timbers joined the PDL in 2009, and played their first ever game on May 9, 2009, against fellow expansion franchise Victoria Highlanders finishing 2–2, with the first goal in franchise history being scored by Jarad Van Schaik.[1]
