Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found. The August 1994 uprising or Maleconazo uprising was a protest against government policies in Cuba. It occurred on August 5th, 1994.[1]
Hundreds of Cubans took to streets in Havana, some chanting "Libertad!". The police eventually dispersed them.[2]
Plot
This uprising against the deprivations of the “special period” saw thousands take to the streets of Havana chanting “Libertad!” But the countries security forces were able to disperse the demonstrators after a few hours, and nothing more came of the protests.
