The Hofstra Pride football (formerly the Hofstra Flying Dutchmen) program was the intercollegiate American football team for Hofstra University located in Hempstead, New York. The team competed in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) and were members of the Colonial Athletic Association. The school's first football team was fielded in 1937. Hofstra participated in football from 1937-2009, compiling an all-time record of 403–268–11.[1] On December 3, 2009, the university announced it was terminating the football program.
