Summary

<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drum_machine#Early_drum_machines" class="extiw" title="en:Drum machine">Wurlitzer Sideman</a> drum machine 1957, at the Cantos Foundation museum.

One of the first drum machines ever built, it used solder connections to register a beat.

This one has been fixed up heavily over the years in order to remain functional. It plays a sweet bassonova beat.

Visited <a rel="nofollow" class="external text" href="http://www.cantos.ca">Cantos Foundation</a> in February 2009 and took a lot of pictures and video.
