This photograph was taken by me at the Vaidyeshvara temple (also spelt Vaidyeshwara) in Talakad (also pronounced as Talkad, Talakadu), Mysore district, Karnataka state, India. The construction of this temple was undertaken by the The Western Ganga dynasty of Talakad in the 10th century. Later renovations and additions were done by the Cholas and Hoysalas up to the 14th century
