Summary

U.S. Navy <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meritorious_Unit_Commendation" class="extiw" title="w:Meritorious Unit Commendation">Meritorious Unit Commendation</a> pennant, flown by ships which have won the award, which is given in the name of the Secretary of the Navy to units which performed service of a character comparable to that which would merit the award of a Bronze Star Medal, or achievement of like caliber in a non-combat situation. The colors are supposed to be hunter green, air force yellow, ultra-marine blue, air force yellow and scarlet. If won more than once, a bronze star is added to the center stripe for each additional win (up to five), decreasing in size so to still fit on the strip.
