Summary
A tall robust Ranger at the Joint Check Post between India and Pakistan at Wagah. The Border Closing Ceremony at sunset is one of the most spectacular display of drill. The border is manned by the Border Security Force (BSF) on the Indian Side and by the Rangers on the Pak side. Though apparently unfriendly and even a little bellicose, both Forces display surprising unity and timing in the drill. Actually, the tradition started after partition by both sides, which were manned by the same Punjab Police, in which I have had the honour to serve and contribute my small bit!
