Elath (Hebrew: אֵילַת, Modern [Elat] Error: {{Transl}}: unrecognized transliteration standard: (help), Tiberian ʼÊláṯ; Latin: Aila), or Eloth,[1] was an ancient city mentioned in several places in the Hebrew Bible [2] on the northern tip of the Gulf of Aqaba. It was in the same vicinity as Ezion-Geber. Historically, the city of Aqaba, Jordan has been associated with the ancient site.

The modern city of Eilat, Israel is adjacent to Aqaba, the ancient Elath, and named after it.
