The Cabanis's bunting (Emberiza cabanisi) is a species of bird in the Emberizidae family.
It is found in Angola, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Liberia, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests and dry savannah.
The common name and Latin binomial commemorate the German ornithologist Jean Louis Cabanis.[2]
