Persatuan Sepak Bola Indonesia Balikpapan, commonly known as Persiba Balikpapan, or Persiba, is an Indonesian football club based in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan. In media, the tautology is often used and to distinguish the club with another club with the same acronym, Persiba Bantul.

Beruang Madu is the club's nickname, taken from the city mascot of Balikpapan. Another nickname given is Selicin Minyak (slippery as oil) because Balikpapan is the center for oil and gas industry of Indonesia.

Persiba home stadium is Persiba Stadium with 9,000 capacity .A new stadium with 45,000 capacity is underway and will be completed by August 2016.[2] Persiba plays in the Indonesia Super League, the top rank football competition in Indonesia.

Currently, Antonio Teles holds the captaincy band for Persiba.
